That piece from David Stubbs had a massive influence on me. "1988 was the best year ever for rock music"...indeed. Loved it. And just four years later, it was effectively dead. Funny how things turn out.
Of course Daydream Nation. An absolute game changer. After the first "What's this shit?" (I was 15 and the Beatles were my fave music), I listened it during whole nights at the times. Enormous. MBV are also incredibly great, (btw, their m b v of 2013 is fantastic) But AR Kane, despite the name I heard then, I discover it now thanks to the web. I'd say is very relevant 23 years later. WOW. Thanks.
